Dysport® is suitable for any skin tone or type, so most people will be able to have it performed preventatively or as a regular treatment without any problems. Some very rare skin conditions may prevent you from being a candidate, but those are few and far between.

The best candidates are those who have realistic expectations about what can be achieved. Make sure you look at plenty of before and after photos and do plenty of research before setting your aesthetic goals. This process will spare you a ton of potential disappointment in results that would otherwise be considered successful.

Since Dysport® is a minimally invasive injectable treatment, you do not need to worry about making any extensive preparations for your procedure. You should be in good shape as long as you avoid harsh sunlight and intense facial masks a few days before.

Prior to having your injection performed, the local area will be thoroughly cleaned. Then, a medical professional will insert the needle into your skin and expel the substance within. Then, the area will be cleaned once more to avoid infection as much as possible, and bandaging will be applied if necessary to stop minor bleeding. (Although it rarely is needed at all.)

As a minimally invasive injection, your recovery from Dysport® will be very rapid. You may experience some mild pain or discomfort at the injection site, but they will typically subside within a few days. You will not need to take any time off from work or miss any important appointments. In fact, you can go straight back to your routine as soon as the procedure is complete.

You can expect to see drastic improvements in your glabellar lines immediately after your procedure since your muscles in that area will not be able to contract. This means a much more youthful appearance as you walk out of the door. There is also the added benefit of having increased progress over time as the skin has a chance to smooth over as time goes on. Most people can expect three to four months of improvement per session.

Keep in mind that the skill and experience of your professional are also calculated into the cost, so going for the best “deal” isn’t always the best choice.
