What Is a Chemical Peel?
A chemical peel is a rejuvenating skin treatment that stimulates your skin’s natural ability to regenerate itself resulting in an improvement in skin tone, texture, breakouts, line lines and wrinkles . The treatment causes the dry, dead, outermost layer of the skin to peel, flake off and shed revealing healthier skin. There are a number of factors that can affect the amount of peeling one will have, including skin type and resilience level, type of peel, and amount of layers applied. Even if you don’t physically peel, your skin is still exfoliating. Even one treatment will reveal a healthy and glowing complexion.

Once you meet with our PCA Certified Esthetician and discuss your concerns, she will select the products that would best address these issues. Your face will first be cleansed of all impurities, makeup, oil dirt. Solutions will then be applied to the skin. It is normal to experience a tingling, burning, or stinging sensation that will subside after a few minutes. Several layers may be applied.
The recovery will be determined by the type of peel you are given and the number of layers that are applied. Redness, peeling, and flaking are normal during recovery. Your provider will go over instructions with you and you may continue with your skin care routine, cleansing and moisturizing as normal. Protect your skin from the sun, excess heat, and apply SPF.
